The Turnpikes are a refined four-piece folk roaming band, rooted in the enchanting coastal town of Amalfi, Italy. For several years, they have captivated discerning audiences within the wedding and entertainment sphere with their soulful harmonies and impeccably dynamic instrumentation.
The ensemble comprises a guitarist and vocalist, a violinist, a cajonist and backing vocalist, and a bass ukulele and accordionist—each musician bringing a bespoke artistry to every performance.
Their curated song list weaves together Italian and international rock, folk, and pop masterpieces—from The Beatles, Sting, Coldplay, Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, and David Bowie, to pure 1950s rock & roll, exquisitely reinterpreted alongside classic Neapolitan tradition songs, all infused with a distinctive folk sensibility.

Acoustic Roaming Performance
The ensemble gracefully follows guests through the various settings of the wedding venue, presenting acoustic music supported by a battery-powered amplifier and a microphone. Impeccable background music is provided throughout. This roaming performance typically encompasses:
- Arrival and welcome toast of the newlyweds—featuring Wagner’s wedding march exquisitely rearranged in a swing style
- Initial buffet segment (7 to 8 songs with a pause)
- Cutting of the cake (3 to 4 songs)
Fixed Position with Amplification
In this setting, pre-recorded music is elegantly curated before, between, and after the live sets. A curated party playlist—a sophisticated blend of timeless classics and contemporary favourites—is always at hand, though the couple is most welcome to provide their own selection. During this arrangement, the most celebrated moments include:
- Entrance of the bride and groom
- First dance of the bride and groom
- Dance of the bride and groom with parents
- Dance with all guests
- Throwing of the bouquet

Absolutely don’t think about it. They were incredible.. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Perfect throughout the entire event and even made some special changes last minute for us! Book them!!

These guys were incredible. We booked them for our welcome party after wondering if it would be worth it over just playing music and we are so glad we did! They played a first set that was more background music while guests talked, and then the second set brought up the energy - pulling everyone onto the dance floor with a mix of Italian and American rock and pop. Everyone was blown away and kept asking how we would top them for the actual wedding. Can't recommend enough!

The Turnpikes were professional and competent from the first contact, they were able to fulfil our every musical desire, from the religious ceremony to the dinner. True artists, able to amaze us and our guests with pieces performed to perfection. Well, if we were to remarry again, we would only ever choose them!

The Turnpikes were absolutely exceptional at our Wedding Welcome Dinner in Asciano. William and the band brought amazing vibes to the event. The music they played absolutely made the night what it was. They had all of our guests dancing by the end of the evening. Not only were they excellent musicians, but they were also wonderful people! The Turnpikes were excellent at our wedding in Positano. The set list was perfectly curated to ensure we experienced a mix of traditional Italian songs and some international classics.
