Il Tenore — an exquisitely refined tenor and opera singer, based in the timeless city of Lucca, Italy.

Born in Viareggio, Il Tenore’s passion for music and voice was discovered in his earliest years. Though life initially charted a different course, his devotion to opera remained impeccably unwavering. At the age of forty‑two, he was auditioned by Maestro Delfo Menicucci of the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan — a bespoke turning point that marked the beginning of his luminous professional journey.

In 2014, he joined the chorus of the Puccini Festival as principal tenor, gracing multiple opera seasons and assuming solo roles of profound distinction. His artistry is regularly curated for weddings and exclusive events at San Pietro Sopra Le Acque Resort in Perugia and Soho House in Rome.

The ensuing years saw his career flourish with extraordinary debuts — as Manrico and the Duke of Mantua at the Teatro del Casino in Sanremo, followed by Cavaradossi in Tosca. His powerful, resonant voice and commanding stage presence garnered immediate acclaim both in Italy and abroad.

In 2017, his participation in the television programme Tu si que values earned national recognition, finishing second and receiving widespread admiration. Since then, he has become a cherished regular performer with the Puccini e la sua Lucca Festival, appearing in venues of impeccable prestige — London, the Musikverein in Vienna, and Buckingham Palace.

Recent years have included solo performances across Europe, from Monte Carlo to the Isle of Wight, as well as major concerts in Lucca, Florence, and La Spezia. His repertoire continues to expand, blending classical mastery with profound emotional depth.

Since 2024, Il Tenore has brought his exquisite artistry to the world of weddings, where each performance imparts elegance, passion, and timeless beauty to every celebration. He is now available to hire as a tenor and opera singer for weddings in Italy.

What are your normal set lengths?

- Usually it is three sets, divided during dinner, which include 2/3 songs each set

Do you have different line-up options?

- No

Do you provide your own sound & lighting equipment? What is it or what's included in the price?

- No, I rely on the music service present at the party, I just need a microphone and the playback of the backing tracks that I have on a USB stick.

Do you provide a laptop playlist / DJ service in between and after your live sets?

- No

What time do you normally arrive at the venue to set up?

- Usually 90 minutes before the performance starts.

How long does it take for you to set up, sound check etc?

- Around 10 minutes

Can you learn song requests (e.g. a first dance)?

- With notice in advance, yes.

How much space do you need for your performance area?

- I don't require a specific space, I love going around the tables and trying to involve people

Are you comfortable performing outdoors or in unusual settings (e.g. barns, beaches)?

- As long as amplification can be provided, I can perform anywhere.
