Stano Sax – An Exquisite Wedding Saxophonist, Based in Florence, Italy

Born in Prato on December 16, 1982, Stano Sax’s musical journey began at the age of five, studying piano at the esteemed “Cianchi” Music School in Prato. Simultaneously, he discovered a profound affinity for the stage and theatre, performing monologues and short comedies with an entertainment company that embarked on summer tours throughout Tuscany.

Revealed as a dramatic baritone, he refined his vocal artistry through opera singing with the lyric baritone Giovanni Mazzei—a student of the legendary Rolando Panerai—and later with Maestro Valerio Del Piccolo, a lyric bass, scholar of sacred music, and orchestra conductor based in Florence.

Inspired by models of operatic versatility, he began writing lyrics and performing as a countertenor in an A.O.R. (Adult Oriented Rock) ensemble, and also as lead vocalist in a Progressive Hard Rock tribute band dedicated to Queensrÿche. Concurrently, he enrolled at the “G. Verdi” Music School in Prato, studying music theory and piano to deepen his intonation and grasp of musical intervals.

A lifelong devotee of wind instruments, he ultimately discovered his true musical synergy with the saxophone, which became his preferred and principal instrument. Through his curated repertoire, he expresses himself impeccably across Chicago Blues, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Funk, Bossa Nova, Latin, Classic Rock, and Deep House.

Currently immersed in the study of Jazz and Harmony, he has collaborated with a Japanese digital label, composing original tracks that he weaves into select live performances. He now graces rooftops, hotel conference rooms, banquet halls, and fashion shows across Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, and Switzerland, partnering with luxury brands for conferences, fashion events, bespoke weddings, and corporate occasions. He is available to travel throughout Italy and abroad.

Upon request, he enriches his performances with his voice and diatonic harmonica, alongside the saxophone. A broad and ever-expanding musical culture allows him to adapt both his voice and instrument to any musical language, while never losing his distinctive stylistic identity.
