The Somethings – an exquisite wedding band based in the heart of Florence, Tuscany.
The Somethings are highly sought after for weddings, corporate galas, and exclusive private soirées throughout Tuscany and across Italy.
Comprising five consummate musicians—virtuosos who are as courteous as they are impeccably presented—the ensemble brings a wealth of experience serving an international clientele, communicating with a fluent command of English.
Regularly booked to perform at such esteemed venues as Villa Eva in Ravello, Borgo Corsignano in Poppi, and Castello Vicchiomaggio in Florence, The Somethings deliver an unparalleled live music experience.
The Somethings is a refined ensemble of five musicians, with an additional saxophonist available upon request, covering a curated selection of the most celebrated international hits across pop, rock, blues, funk, and soul.
The band exudes the exhilarating energy of a live performance, led by captivating vocals.
The extensive repertoire is thoughtfully arranged to complement each moment of the reception:
- Ceremony: The most refined option is a duo of vocals and acoustic guitar, performing soulful melodies.
- Aperitivo: A sophisticated selection of jazz standards from The Great American Songbook, presented instrumentally—with vocal performances available upon request.
- Dinner: To preserve an atmosphere of intimate conversation and serene dining, the band typically provides curated background music from a device; live performances during dinner can be arranged upon request.
- Party: The moment when the band fully expresses its potential—an invitation to dance the night away.

Refined details
- Bespoke first dance: the song can be arranged, but must be requested at least 60 days before the event.
- Curated song requests: up to three songs can be requested, with advanced notice of at least 60 days.
- Relocation of performance: if key moments of the reception take place in different locations, two separate sound systems may be required; this must be communicated in advance and will incur a supplementary fee.
The Somethings have recently performed at a 50th birthday celebration at Castello di Ugento in Puglia, as well as weddings at Villa Palagione, Zia Cathy's Country House, and Castello di Spessa.

We had the best time with The Somethings!! They played our ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. The music of course was fantastic and my husband was especially blown away by their acoustic version of "Simple Man" they learned for his dance with his mom. The entire band is so talented and kept the energy going with our small group of 22. We travelled from out of the country for our wedding but didn't need to worry about anything. The band was so easygoing, great to communicate with beforehand, showed up early and even danced to Spice Girls with us on their way out! You will not be disappointed with this band!! Thank you! Great band, cannot recommend highly enough! They were super helpful leading up to the event, communicated well, took care of all the little things, and most importantly played amazingly during the wedding! We got compliments about the band from just about every wedding guest. Thanks again!

Thank you for being with us on our wedding day. You were brilliant!! Everyone raved about you and how you made the party so amazing! You got the tunes spot on and everyone had a great boogy on the dance floor. But you also allowed conversations to take place over dinner. It was such a pleasure hearing Leah’s dad rave about you when often he complains about wedding music. Thank you too for all the support leading up to the wedding and being around to answer any questions. We could not have asked for a more perfect celebration. We were truly blown away!

The Somethings played at our wedding at Buonamico Winery and they were absolutely fantastic. They were very easy to deal with and were helpful in suggesting what songs might go down well. On the day/night of the wedding, they were early to set up and a pleasure to meet. We had an acoustic song as our entry song and then a jazz trio for drinks and the full 5 piece band for the dancefloor. We were really happy with how much more special they made the day and so many guests complimented their performances and told us how much more special it made the day for them.

I'm not sure I can think of enough compliments for just how good The Somethings were! Thank you Fabio and all of the band for the most special day! From our first contact with Fabio we were immediately put at ease and no request was a problem. He helped guide us through the ideal times to have the band play during the day and what that would look like whilst giving us advice on the style of songs that work best at certain points. They performed during the wedding ceremony itself which made a special moment even more incredible and then played jazz during our aperitivo. The band were incredible and the addition of the super talented saxophonist really added to it. Then when they played there full set in the evening there was no point when the dancefloor wasn't full! Incredible vocals and the energetic band had everyone on their feet and dancing. I can't recommend The Somethings enough and we've had nothing but compliments about the music from friends and family who attended the day. You have to book these guys for your wedding or party, it's a must!!!! Joe & Beth.

The Somethings were fantastic at our wedding! They performed a jazz set at the aperitivo which was perfect and the party band in the evening was a great vibe that got all 100 people dancing. I recommend them! We didn’t realise we were supposed to pay in cash so I think that could be made slightly clearer but otherwise everything was great!

Absolutely amazing performance!! Really really highly recommended - hire this band you will not regret it! We had an outdoor celebration with around 80 people and The Somethings were perfect and enjoyed by all. My Granny in her eighties was up and swinging! The band were even kind enough to accommodate a last minute song request and adapted their set to include it. I'm from a raving/EDM musical background and really enjoyed the set too - good music well played with soul and clear professionalism, it was such a highlight! Thank you

The Somethings were absolutely incredible. All extremely talented musicians. They had no problem learning the 2 songs we asked them to learn and even learned one a couple of weeks before the wedding. Not only that, their version of the songs sounded perfect. One of the songs we asked them to learn I am sure they had never heard before and they absolutely nailed it. I’ve seen tons of wedding bands and The Somethings are easily the best. They had everyone at the party dancing all night and people could not stop talking about them. The Somethings play with SOUL!

We are still buzzing from our wedding in Florence, and one of the biggest reasons is The Somethings. From start to finish, they absolutely crushed it. Led by the incredible Fabio, the band flawlessly carried the musical arc of our day—from the ceremony, to a dreamy jazz ensemble during aperitivo, to a full-on dance party that turned the courtyard upside down, and finally, a seamless transition into an after-hours DJ set that kept everyone going into the early morning. We had a tough crowd: music lovers, actual musicians, and a handful of famously tough critics—every single one of them raved. People kept asking, “Where did you find these guys?!” The band learned a few special request songs for us, some well outside their usual repertoire, and nailed them like they’d been playing them for years. We also added a singer and a sax player to the lineup—best decision ever. They elevated the energy and added a level of magic we’ll never forget. If you’re planning a destination wedding (or honestly, any event) and want to blow your guests away, book The Somethings. We couldn’t be more grateful.
