The Groove Syndicate – An Exquisite Wedding & Jewish Party Ensemble, Based in Florence, Italy

The Groove Syndicate convenes a curated selection of musicians from Florence’s refined underground scene, each poised to craft a synthesis of vibrant energy and impeccable quality for your most cherished celebration. Born in 2021 from the convergence of young professionals, the ensemble cultivates a bespoke repertoire that begins with a sparkling instrumental jazz welcome, then ascends into an exhilarating journey through an expertly curated selection of international pop and rock hits—a sonic voyage from the 1970s to the present day.

The band performs with effortless sophistication in English, Italian, Spanish, Hebrew, and French, alongside a carefully chosen collection of Russian melodies. Their project also offers an exquisite setlist of Jewish traditional chants, dances, and Israeli pop, infusing every Jewish wedding with profound expressiveness. The repertoire includes a sweeping medley of traditional Hora dances, from Ava Nagila to Mazal Tov, Kol Sason Ve Kol Simcha.

Their Jewish wedding configuration is an impeccably balanced 6-piece line-up: guitar/lead voice, keys, sax, bass, drums, and violin. Years of refined musical activity across Tuscany and Rome—home to Italy’s most magnificent villas—along with performances in foreign destinations such as Cyprus, have forged a cohesive sound that bestows upon the Bride and Groom a band defined by positive achievement, conscious performance, and joyous amusement.

An openness to the audience and a harmonious blend of genres, culminating in the option of a DJ set with live saxophone, complete The Groove Syndicate’s polished and unforgettable show.

Do you provide your own sound & lighting equipment?

- We are able to provide up to 2 audio systems

Do you provide a laptop playlist / DJ service in between and after your live sets?

- Yes we do, we have laptop playlist and DJ service in between and after the live if requested.

What time do you normally arrive at the venue to set up?

- We normally arrive 3 hrs before the beginning of the event

How long does it take for you to set up, sound check etc?

- 2 hrs to set up, 30 minutes/1hr soundcheck

Can you learn song requests (e.g. a first dance)?

- Yes we are happy to accept up to 5 specific requests.

How much space do you need for your performance area?

- At least 3m x 2m

Are you comfortable performing outdoors or in unusual settings (e.g. barns, beaches)?
